" 'Santa plays pizza
delivery man', Venice Italy"
After 30 years perfecting time exposure techniques it is still exciting to
see what serendipity will end up tossing into my mix of compositions. In
this case I took a dozen or two images from exactly the same spot. The
camera was mounted stationary on a tripod, as it always is, and it
captured the varying differences created by all of the folks passing
through, such as this gentleman here. Sometimes some Asian people would
stop and read menus, or someone would stop and go in, or come out. Of all
the images created, some way more interesting than others due to so many
varying steaks, colors, etc., none had the excitement of this mans
combined streaking face and pizza box. The red area of clothing was an
added bonus par excellence, keeping the red theme developing in the
composition. Only an artist could get so excited about these minute
variances, right?
