As always, 12 lucky recipients of this letter have won a Seewald signed
reproduction of choice. Read on for details.
Seasons Greetings Seewald art lovers,
We hope this e-letter finds you well, and if not, in good spirits anyway.
This Venice series is to be released this upcoming Saturday, the 20th
of December at our 20th annual Christmas Celebration. It will be held at our
studio in Encinitas from 6 to 9 p.m.. For directions see this:
http://www.seewald.com/drive_directions.htm.
Hope all that live nearby can come and visit. The series gets moved to the
Blondstone Studio the following Monday. More info on the website homepage.
The year has been eventful for Michael and me. Michael has had to do his
world wide travels without me, do to my being needed at the gallery, and we
closed the long established location of the Valerie E. Wong Gallery in Del
Mar, after a successful 11 year run in that location.
Michael created three new trips/series, “Thailand”, “Napa-Sonoma” and “E.
Europe II”, numbers 44, 45, and 46! The Europe trip was from a last minute
opportunity. It was a three week, all expense paid, (four star hotels,
buffet meals) with a 75 piece choir. They performed concerts at major
cathedrals of E. Europe (E. Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Budapest).
The invitation was in exchange for his filmmaking skills to capture the
concerts in an artistic fashion through digital video.
He taught another 60 or so people how to make much more exciting and
award winning art through his popular Photographic Compositional
‘Fun-shops', and it's tending to grow into a national audience of attendees.
These one day photo workshops make great gifts for yourself or others. For

The 12th annual signed and numbered, deluxe oversized art calendar
‘Venice, Italy’ (printed and sponsored by Continental Litho), could well win
any calendar competition for design and quality. See it on our website.
http://www.seewald.com/2004_calendar.htm.
You can order them for only $49.95 and can probably still get to you in time
for Christmas if needed as a gift. It's over half sold out at this point.
We plan to offer workshops in Europe next year, where you can travel
around either Tuscany, Italy or Provence, France. You can learn right along
with a master photographer who has worked these areas extensively on his
own, finding the most photographically rewarding towns to work in.
http://www.seewald.com/photo_wkshp_intro_pg.htm
Michael has continued to win awards at the heavily entered regional and
international competitions, taking top honors at the incredible rate of 50%
of competitions entered! This is in both painting and photographic
categories.
May you have a splendid Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Valerie and Michael Seewald
PS 12 of you have been drawn in our random drawing and have won a Seewald
reproduction of choice. To see if it is you please go to our 'testimonial'
page under the photo workshop section of our site. Here is the link:

Good luck on winning.

Newsletter 9.5.'03
1983 - 2003
To celebrate our 20 year anniversary, a whopping 20 recipients of this
newsletter have won a free Seewald 2004 Venice art calendar!
AND this letter is also a "$5.00 OFF COUPON" to all of you, read on.
Greetings friends,
We hope everyone had a great summer. We are getting used to working out
of our smaller gallery location (our frame shop in
Encinitas) since closing our main gallery in Del Mar in June. (It is
located three blocks down from the old "Seewald's" location of 20 years, on
Vulcan Ave., behind the bike shop. Address and phone numbers below.)
We've had a little more time to ourselves and that has been a blessing.
(Michael has been teaching me how to catch bass and catfish at the local
lakes around San Diego, a childhood passion of his he recently took back
up.)
He has also been hard at work on the beautiful, and soon to be
released, Venice series. (From over 45 trips around the world, he
claims it's by far the best he's ever done.) 13 of the 14 sponsors have
chosen their favorites and the last ones come in next Wednesday to pick
their image. (The one's they pick will be the one's we will
release...Michael has chosen 12 from this series to be in his 2004
calendar.) AFTER reading this newsletter further, and learning how to get
a discount, and/ or winning one for free, visit this page:
http://www.seewald.com/2004_calendar.htm.
Twenty names have been drawn for our free drawing. (This time it's for a
free, signed and numbered, Seewald 2004 Venice art calendar, release price
of $49.95- increases to a whopping $150 value a year after
release.) If your are one of the lucky winners, your name will be posted
at the bottom of this new 'calendar previews page' on our website. If you
see your name just tell us so to claim it... two weeks to respond.
As a thank-you for choosing to receive these newsletters, you
are entitled to use it as a "$5.00 OFF" coupon!!! You can use it
towards any Seewald reproduction, photo class, or reducing the current
'pre-reassess' special calendar price from $44.95 to $39.95. Just write
"$5.00 discount gift" on the comment section of the order page to get the
discount. Offer good for two weeks only.
"My daughter Jessica and I just learned to see through the lens with an
artist's eye. Michael's lighting and exposure tips at the end of class were
extremely helpful." So reported Barbara Wiener and 15 year old daughter
Jessica of Irvine CA, class of 8/'03. Thanks you two for taking our Seewald
compositional 'fun-shop' class. If you are interested in learning how to
compose, or just appreciate, art better, then reply to us with that request
and you will be informed of Michael's upcoming class dates. (Only held ever
so often. Next 'Part I' is Sat., Sept. 27th, and 'Part II' is Sun., Sept.
28th.) They are too fun to be called workshops, so we call 'em 'fun-shops'.
See more testimonials below, or here:
http://www.seewald.com/workshop_testimonials.htm.
For general class info click here:
http://www.seewald.com/photo_wkshp_intro_pg.htm.
Michael will be going to Tibet soon to create and you have a chance to
save big by purchasing sight-unseen, at about half price, as hundreds of
others have. (Did you know I sponsored six trips before marrying Michael?)
Only one sponsorship left! He also is selling his "Abruzzo, Italy" trip, and
others. For more info on his unique sponsorship program click here:
http://www.seewald.com/sponsorship_info.htm.
Any questions? Let us know. Blessing to all this fall. (hey, that rhymes)
Thanks for wanting to hear from us. An announcement about our next art
opening, "Venice", will be forthcoming soon. Good luck on winning a
calendar, if not save that extra $5 right now!!!) Valerie Seewald

Seewald's Art Gallery
June 6th, 2003
Newsletter
Valerie E. Wong Gallery
Michael Seewald, artist.
Greetings friends,
We hope this letter finds you very
well. As usual, eight winners have been randomly drawn from the list of
everyone receiving this letter. (NONE of the eight winners claimed their
prize last newsletter!!!?) WE REALLY DO GIVE THESE SEEWALD SIGNED, FRAMED
REPRODUCTIONS OF CHOICE AWAY! ($200 VALUE.) It's like this, no lookey, no
winney. Keep reading to find out if you are a winner. BONUS WINNERS:
If you see your name in our newsletter you win a 2004 Seewald signed and
numbered, limited edition "Venice" art calendar. Plus, the "End of Year"
winner of a giant 30"x40" original Seewald photograph, valued at $7,500,
has finally been drawn.
Newsletter contents.
1. Closure of Del Mar Gallery.
2. Our frame shop/Seewald studio still
open.
3. Michael's recent awards (both
paintings and photos).
4. New future Italian sponsorship offered- "Abruzzo".
5. Napa/Sonoma trip finished, Tibet
coming up.
6. Previous list of un-claimed winners.
7. Photo 'funshop' dates announced.
8. See if you’re one of the eight
winners drawn for the free signed art reproductions…
And a special PS.
1. We have closed the gallery in Del
Mar but this time for good, not just to move to another location within the
mall as we usually do…. ;-(. The new owners of the mall have opted not to
have anyone in the space, even though we pay a reduced rate and enhance the
mall with our great art. That is both good and bad!?! Good because we would
like a break from running a gallery for a couple of months, but bad because
it was a good way to find you collectors and new friends at such a nice
location.
2. We still have our frame shop/
studio in Encinitas, where Michael spends a lot of time framing all of our
orders, etc.. (Address and contact info are below.) We will still have
openings but they will be at various locations, mostly around San Diego
County.
3. Michael learned yesterday that
both of the paintings he entered were accepted into the Int'l Art Exhibition
of the upcoming San Diego County Fair! He has not heard how his 10 entries
did in the Int'l photo competition yet. He entered quite a few new pieces,
including 5 from his yet to be released "Venice 2002" series. It has been
years since he has had time to enter these competitions. Of course, he took
'Best of Show' in 1996 out of 3,500 world-wide entries. Two months ago he
took "Jurors' Choice" at the San Diego Art Institute's juried competition-
again. That image appears on the home page of our website.
4. We have added another trip for
sponsorship availability - " Abruzzo, Italy". It is near Tuscany and very
similar in feel, we hear, although more mountainous. We already have one of
the 12 sold- (Paul and 'Mika' Amato of Tehachapi, California just picked
their 'Venice' sponsored image last week and then immediately signed up for
the Abruzzo offering. This will be their fourth sponsored image.)
Undoubtedly, this series will sell out quickly. Trip will be taken either
this fall or next spring. 'E' or call us if interested in reserving a
sponsored image, or to find out how to. Prices / Info:
http://www.seewald.com/upcoming.htm
5. We now have a gallery in Santa
Helena, up in Napa Valley California, interested in repping Michael. He
just finished working for three weeks up there and during his stay showed
them some of his work. Although they have only shown well established
European painters they were so impressed with Michael's work they said they
would like to start showing his work, firstly with his Napa/Sonoma series
when it's finished. We have one Tibet sponsorship left and a couple for the
Napa/Sonoma trip that was just completed. (Due to too strong a light,
Michael only made one photo in the first two weeks there, but quite a few in
the third. Still, he will work more there in the fall.) Of course,
Thailand has been sold out. Bret and
Stacey Wassink of Murrieta, California took the last one and then put a
deposit on Tibet also.
6. Here are the names of the last
newsletter winners, none of which were claimed: Alan Hack, Carolyn Dwigans,
Deanna Smith, Jeff Parks, Linda Johnson, Rebecca Torres, Soren Peterson,
William and Rosalind Chen. Keep the faith, your names are back in the
drawings. Everyone's always is! John Friel and Sara Weymer, we drew your
names as random 'Bonus winners'... see first paragraph. Oh, this is fun.
7. If you did not receive notice of
Michael's upcoming 'Part 1' photo workshop dates and would like to, please
respond and we will add you to that list. It's for beginners to advanced
artists- painters or photographers. Next one is Saturday June 21st. Eight
students only. Only three space left.
8. To see if you are one of eight
recent newsletter winners you will have to click on this link. If it does
not work, copy it and past it into your 'browser'. Good luck. Name are
posted just under the photo of Michael, near the top of the page.
http://www.seewald.com/seewald's_new_home_page.htm
Thanks for your continued support.
Valerie Seewald
PS
We forgot to draw the 'END OF YEAR' Grand Prize Winner last January. (What,
is everyone asleep at the wheel? No one reminded us!)
So we just did and posted the lucky winner on
the website also- same location as the others.
What do they win?
A giant 30"x40" original Seewald photograph
valued at $7,500. Good luck on
that prize also. Don't forget,
send others to our website and have them mention your name. If we draw
their name, you both win!

Newsletter 4.5.'03
Greetings,
Hope all is well.
As usual, we have selected eight receivers of this newsletter as winners of
a signed Seewald reproduction of choice. See below for info on how to see
if you are one of the lucky winners.
We have been super busy. Michael returned
from working in Thailand just when the SARS disease was spreading to that
area. He is well and recovering from such a hot and humid climate. 'Food
was great, the landscape and people so diverse. Lots of great images were
created.' We have sold seven of eight sponsorships from that series, one
left.
He is off to work the Napa/ Sonoma series in
a couple of weeks. Four of eight have sold for that.
Here is the real reason for this newsletter.
John Stokes, master puzzle maker, has another Seewald selling on E-bay, and
this is the very last day (six hours left).
