Dear Seewald art enthusiasts,
We hope all is well, Happy Independence Day to
you Americans.
FIRST, FOUR OF YOU HAVE WON A SEEWALD REPRO WORTH
$190. DETAILS FURTHER IN LETTER.
You are cordially invited to the opening night,
world premier release of Provence, France. It will be held this Saturday

has been one of Seewald's best sellers ever since it was released in 1991.
The original, due to a very limited production of originals, is now at
$15,000 for a 16"x20", and $42,000 for the 24"x30", the only two sizes
available. To see the new Niort reproduction, along with the entire new

Our friend, master puzzle make John Stokes,
just wrote us with the following:
" The June 2002 auction, the 20th in the 100
Puzzles Project has been launched! The image for this month's puzzle, "Banfi
Vineyards" was removed from Michael Seewald's 10th Annual, limited
edition art calendar (year 2002), of which 499 were printed. This is the
second of three Michael Seewald year 2002 Calendar photographs I'll be
featuring this year. This puzzle is a limited edition of ONE, I will not be
purchasing any additional year 2002 calendars nor accepting commissions from
others for this image. Information regarding the purchase of the calendar
may seen at
http://www.seewald.com/2002_calendar.htm.
The picture shows a hill beyond a vineyard,
with the rows of grape vines suggesting a highway to heaven.
"Banfi Vineyards"
- measures 13 1/4" by 13 1/4" and contains 476 pieces, a record for my Swirl
Curl style, and is an excellent presentation of this style. The picture was
shot in Tuscany, Italy. I have included two figurals, a piece in the shape
of Italy and a wine bottle modeled after a bottle of Banfi Brunello wine.
The sky is fairly easy to assemble, but the puzzle is all "down hill" from
there, with the ground portion quite difficult due the appearance of the
same color tones in different areas of the picture. I have added a touch of
color line cutting. I give this puzzle an overall "hard" rating.

Dear Friends,
Just returned from Venice Italy (and there-about... Murano, Burano, Lido)
a few days ago, finishing trip/series number 42!! Must say that in all of my
trips around the world I've only run out of film once prior to this one.
But this trip I ran out in just two weeks!!! Due to
dramatic light from many storms, I had enough great images to return home at
that point. Deciding to stay and see if I could do as well, I actually
created a better set in the second two weeks.
Had sold seven of eight sponsorships offered prior to leaving on this
trip. But as one sponsor decided to trade their Venice sponsorship in for my
upcoming fall trip to Thailand, this means two of you can still get
into this unbelievable series as a sponsor at, as usual, half of opening
night price. Would suggest you do A.S.A.P.. Write or call if
interested, now. Prices start at only $1,500 for 16"x20", and $2,700 for the
big 24"x30" size.
Blessings, Michael Seewald
PS. To celebrate this great blessing, and the start of production of
Seewald's first photographic art book, five people receiving this letter
have won a 16"x20" image of choice, valued at $2,250.00 each, (instead of
the usual 11"x14" size we give away). Please go to our homepage and see if
your name is listed at the top of the page. Good luck. (Hint: One of the
people from the 'freebie' referrals was drawn.)

Greetings,
Hope all is well. Just a quick note on a couple of things. Our newest two
released series, "Japan" and "Kauai/Lanai" are still up at our Del Mar
gallery. Michael also has just installed his new "Yosemite" series at a
gallery in Carmel, California. (Info on website).
Just noticed John Stokes, master puzzle craftsman, has another custom
made, one-of-a-kind, special puzzle creation on E-bay. The puzzle image is a
Seewald from the Tuscany series, "Still life, Sant Angelo in Colle, '99"
sponsored by Julie Schloot. Only one day left in the bidding, and is
at the ridiculous price of $56.00! The last 'Seewald' puzzle he created was
won by one of our collectors with the bid at a couple hundred dollars or so.
Here is the link to that page:

Description of this puzzle is at the bottom of this letter.
The new "Provence, France" series has been posted to our website,
although the images are still in production. (Our lab went out of business
and Michael is printing the set on his new Epson 9500 digital printer. It
prints photo quality to 40"x50", with archival pigments!!)
Four people receiving this newsletter win a free 11"x14" original of
our choice, valued at $750 each.
Winning names listed at the bottom of our websites homepage:

Congratulations to the winners and blessings to all,
Valerie Seewald
Puzzle Description from the e-bay page:
"This is the 17th
Custom Puzzle Craft
wooden jigsaw puzzle to be offered for sale on eBay in my ongoing
100 Puzzles Project
of almost-monthly auctions, planned to run through the year 2009. This
puzzle was hand cut by me, John Stokes (eBay id "puzzlecraft"), seller of
this puzzle.
This puzzle, "Still Life, Sant'Angelo in Colle, '99", features an
excellent photograph by master photographer Michael Seewald, the
photographer whom I've featured several times before within the 100 Puzzles
Project. This image was removed from one of Michael Seewald's10th Annual,
limited edition art calendars (year 2002), of which 499 were printed. This
puzzle is a limited edition of ONE, I will not be purchasing any additional
year 2002 calendars nor accepting commissions from others for this image.
Information regarding the purchase of the calendar may seen
here.
I cut this puzzle in my premier Creative style, a style which features
some spectacular "whirly" puzzle pieces along with "egg" puzzle pieces.
"Still Life, Sant'Angelo in Colle, '99" - measures 13 1/4" by 13 1/4"
and contains 445 pieces, including 12 figurals, a dozen eggs and my
signature piece (signed, numbered and dated on the back). I also marked a
second piece on the back, indicating the puzzle belongs to the 100 Puzzles
Project. I rate this puzzle as being "fairly easy" to assemble because of
the figurals, whirlies, and many areas of different colors. The puzzle does
contain spots of color-line cutting to add some healthy frustration :-)))"
